Fascinating photos, but with the serious side effect of setting me off on a search for the best meat pie (any meat pie?) in the Sacramento area.

I'm confused if the pie was the best part of that trip or the ride. Oh heck just wish we had pies like that here in USA.

There's also a booming craft beer industry in Australia, 4 Paws. A thirsty chap would probably find nothing much wrong with many of the major breweries' offerings—but it's good to have the craft options. Some of the craft breweries also offer interesting food menus which adds to their appeal.

I have long pondered why touring motorcyclists are fascinated by traveling by ferry, but I think you provided a succinct answer. I believe it is "the pace of yesteryear" that draws us in to alight our motorcycles mid-ride in favor of another mode of transport.

There are a couple of places in Chicago that claim to offer authentic Australian meat pies. I suggest that you plan a visit in order to determine the veracity of their assertions. Alas, there are no twisties between me and any of these pie vendors unless you count the entrance and exit ramps.

Great report and photos! Thanks for sharing.

One of the local roads I like to ride includes a ten minute ferry ride.
The ferry can be avoided, but I take it just for a break and something different.

Looks like one there's a restaurant in the Boston area that offers Australian inspired cuisine.

I'll have to check their meat pies out! Smile
