I select that and it takes me to the photos I took with this tablet or the ability to take a new photo and it seems to upload with no resizing. Is this because I'm using Tapatalk? It seems to be new. ![[Image: 468e4619610aecc17c2631e5aaf8b534.jpg]](https://cb1100forum.net/forum/uploads/imp/201707/468e4619610aecc17c2631e5aaf8b534.jpg)

Tapatalk hosts the photo on another server automatically. Yours is located at uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com

Even if the file size is small, pictures can be enormous and dominate the screen to the point where it's hard to read the text. Guth has somehow set things up so linked images remain a manageable size.
Ha ha! True! Once I saw that it displayed full-res, I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the attachment or set the display size.

Thought I'd try posting directly from Dropbox.

Okay, all you get is the link.

It's fine to link to the picture, but the beauty of Image hosting sites like Photobucket (previously) and Postimage is that they allow you to embed a link to the image in your forum post and the forum software then displays the photo in the post. You have the option to follow the link if you want. Just posting a link means you have to follow it to look at the picture.
I haven't tried very hard, but I haven't found a way to link to images in Dropbox in a way that they'll display in the forum. Same with Google Photos.

Do you mean it appears in the forum post, or does it take you to Photobucket and show you the image? It does that for me.

Yes takes me to photobucket and shows me the image. At this point at least, it appears the images can still be seen at least.

I suspect that will continue to be the case. They just won't allow embedding in forums which is a pity as it's what's been the most useful attribute of the site. I gave up on Photobucket a while ago as I got sick to death of the advertising and ow slow the site had become. I'm too mean to pay the cost of membership.
