I ordered the same light. I was told the stocker has 3 wires and the Emgo has only 2. I'm guessing the 3rd is a ground? I also heard the wires are not color coded. Can you tell me how you did the wiring?

so i got the light last night. small problem, the license plate does not fit onto the bracket. it is off by at least 1/4" on either side. any ideas?

Yep, I had the same situation...............no worries, just drill new holes the material is soft easy to do.

Figured it all out. Here are pics of the finished product. That's a USMC license plate bolt...gotta represent!
And I ended up installing the LED bulb also.

As far as the ground wire, not sure if it's proper, but I just capped it and left it dangling (well, tucked into the cavity). Everything seems to work just fine.

Thanks for posting pictures! I'm looking to do this mod myself over my next free weekend. I too would like to know what others have done with the ground.

Once I figured out I need to do some drilling (the Emgo bracket and the fender) I just measured everything out (several hundred times...lol).

Then I drilled a hole on either side of the bracket, and then the fender.

I followed the wiring instructions posted by another member, but they were reversed. The black Emgo wire went to the black/brown bike wire, and the red Emgo wire went to the green/yellow bike wire. Then the green ground wire is just there. Again, don't know if it was supposed to hook up to anything, but it works. The rubber gasket included with the light has a hole in the middle for the wiring. I had to modify it a little since the Honda is offset a little to the left. So before I buttoned everything up, I made sure the light bulb (the LED mentioned in another post) was on and both brakes activated the light. Everything worked as it should. I added the black license plate frame (a la Chip) and tightened it all up. I don't know how long it took because I really wasn't paying attention (it's been raining the past couple days here in AZ and I didn't plan to ride in the rain).

One recommendation is to get stainless steel hardware as opposed to the crap included with the light. I haven't purchased the stainless steel stuff yet, but will next week and get that part taken care of.

Next up, the LP turn signals (a la Chip again), and some retro looking tank knee pads I found at J&P. I am also going to get a windscreen (not sure which one yet) and then I have to save my pennies for the exhaust (Staintune) and possibly a new seat. With the seat, I am waiting to read some more info in the forum. So far, I'm leaning towards the Corbin.
