I needed hot water, bar soap, dish soap, WD-40 and still my fingers ached after the first one. The second one took considerably less time.

Without a dyno run, it didn't happen...

Django,

Heating them up does help--a lot. But you will need the lube to get them on.

Thanks for that. Thumbs Up

I'll keep it in mind. Gonna get these RLETs in the near future...

I would worry about a petroleum product adversely reacting with a rubber item like an RLET. I think I will use silicone spray or very soapy water instead. That's what they use to mount tires.

I took the CB out for a test ride with the RLETs in place. The first thing I noticed was that the sun shone brighter. The sky was bluer. The wind was refreshing and light. As I approached each intersection, the lights turned green. I made a left turn on University Avenue past the two-story Spanish-style house with the two Yellow Labs. The labs that before today, would bark incessantly every time I passed, today sat silently, watching me from behind the front yard fence, their tails wagging. I merged onto the I-94 and rode west. The CB's exhaust note rumbled lower, acceleration came on faster. Cars in front of me switched lanes allowing me to pass. One of them a police cruiser. The officer looked over, raised his sunglasses onto his forehead and gave me an approving look. I thought I saw him mouth, "RLETs" just before giving me a thumbs up and waving me on. Turning north, I slowed to take in those negative ions from the ocean air. The smell of coconuts soon filled my helmet. I glanced to my left just in time to see two bikini-clad beauties, taking advantage of the unseasonably warm temperatures, frozen in the process of applying suntan lotion, tracking my progress. The blonde whistled lightly as I passed. The brunette turned to her friend and said, "RLETs."

I eventually made my way home, pulled into the garage and listened to the tink, tink, tink of the cooling engine. The sounds was sweeter than usual. Almost musical. Those RLETs are magical.

Capo, I tried to get it dyno'ed on the way home but when I pulled in, the service manager took one look at the RLETs and gave me a look like, "Are you kidding me?" He told me there's no way he could put my CB on the dyno as it would most likely overload the computer. He said the recent surge in RLET purchases is threatening his business and he may have to consider going into WD-40 sales.

Mike Bee, rest assured, nothing, and certainly not WD-40, could ever harm an RLET.

Man MG, that may be the most prophetic thing I have read on this site. A wish I had it on a t- shirt.
