1100rider...I use Simple Green Wheel Cleaner. There are two kinds of Simple Green,regular and the one marked Wheel Cleaner. It works great. Spray on,wait a bit and hose off. I highly recommended it.

Honda spray cleaner and polish has worked great for me. It removes brake dust and chain grease plus bugs etc and it waxes too. I also used it to remove the sticker residue from the tank.

True that if you soak the chain in WD-40 .... LOL .... spray it on a shop towel first and then clean the chain ....
