Chip, your detailed mods really look great! It seems to me that as time has passed, more and more of the bikes on this forum are being refined to reflect the vision of their owners, especially now that owners have had enough time to invent creative solutions (such as your license plate bracket) and the aftermarket offerings have expanded.

Since the CB1100s are now looking so differentiated and there is a correspondence between the what the bike looks like and what the owner enjoys, it might be a good idea to add a forum area where members have the opportunity to upload selected pics of their CB1100, linked back to their profile. You could go to the profile and get a link to the pic, or go to the pic and get a link to the profile.

I do have one comment (imagine that Rolleyes ) and one question.
The comment is you forgot to mention that you also removed the tank decals. heck that alone is worth at least .00000001 horsepower! Big Grin
The question I have for you is this.........................Have you carried a passenger since you installed the Corbin? If so, has the pillion commented on the comfort of the seat as opposed to the oem saddle? I really like the way the Corbin looks and will probably buy one if the passenger comfort is the same or better than stock.
Again, great job suiting the bike to yourself. She IS beautiful.
Jim

Jim,

You are very observant, I forgot about those decals. I have carried a passenger a couple times and she liked the Corbin a lot better than the stock seat. My Corbin seat looks stock but the passenger pillion is over 20% wider (11 inches vs. 9 inches on the stock seat) so more of her butt is supported, the Corbin memory foam is more comfortable, and it's nicer to sit on leather than vinyl. I believe any passenger would rather sit on my new seat than the old one.

Chip

Damn Chip, no wonder you're not married! The correct phrasing is "the pillion is over 20% wider so she has more room to move around on the seat if she wants"

By the way, the bike looks great.

How is that seat now that you've had it a little while, how much better feeling than stock?

HikerToo,

The more I ride on the Corbin seat the better it gets. I want to go out for an all day ride to really test it but it's so hot here I can only ride at night. A riding vampire if you will. From the few hours I've spent on it I can imagine doing a multi day road trip on this bike now. I wouldn't even consider that on the stock seat.

Chip

Geez ya wuss. Rolleyes

J/k

My 5 day 1565 mile trip this week had me wanting a different seat more than once. Mondays ride was 473 miles 10 hours. I probably stood on the pegs a dozen times while riding cause my arse was aching.

LOL. Her cute butt isn't just supported by the seat, it's also supported by me! I doubt she'll be going anywhere soon. If I was married I wouldn't be able to buy all this stuff and I probably wouldn't get to work on my bikes in the living room. Firm, good looking seats are important on motorcycles and women.

Several of us are meeting at The Grotto in Cave Creek Sunday morning between 7 and 7:30 this weekend. If you don't mind a wee bit of heat that morning bring that clunker up to show her off (I mean the bike, not girl friend Smile ). Hard to say what will all show up but there is a good chance no two bikes will be from the same manufacturer.

I'm considering the Pavilions Saturday evening, but with the monsoon in full gear if there is a chance of rain I'll pass. If I can do the Pavilions I'll take the 1100 Saturday, the Griso Sunday morning. That way you can sit on a real motorcycle. Angel
Dang, I meant to comment on how nice your CB is looking too. I'm very keen on checking out the corbin.
