Laam Saddle anyone?

Unfortunately, the gorgeous saddle on my CB Deluxe makes my bottom feel like I am sitting on a hot charcoal grill after an hour.
Does anyone have experience with Laam saddles? I am in the market for a saddle that is more supportive, wider, and taller than stock to give my knees a bit more room. Laam saddles look very stylish, are custom made like a Russell for less money. I sat on a CB with a Corbin this past weekend. It was really firm and I would have liked it to be at least another inch taller.

Russell saddles are very highly rated and I am sure they would make me happy. I could put one on my GS, but I just can't put something that ugly on my CB that will ruin the lines of the bike.

I am also picking up a local friend's Airhawk seat cushion to try it out for a couple of days.

I'm having the same issues. I ride with a few neighbors who have cruisers and like to put the miles on. Unfortunately as much as I love to my butt doesn't feel the same way and the symptoms you describe above happen to me as well. We do 3-4 hours rides or more regularly-last weekend was an 8 hour trek and I'm still recovering.
I have been looking at K&H and also the Corbin.
The problem I'm having is trying to figure out the ergos.
I'm not certain that simply replacing the seat will fix the issue completely? Maybe it will but it will be an expansive experiment if it doesn't.
The CB is an upright ride position whereas the cruisers are more laid back as we know.
What happens when we put a cruiser seat on a CB? Does it fix the problem - as we are still upright only in a laid back style seat.
Does that make sense ?
Maybe I am over analyzing this?

No, not at all. I too have wondered if I change the saddle ($400) will I now need to change the bars and cables ($300) to compensate for the higher seating position. I don't want to spend several hundred dollars to make it more comfortable but at the same time ruin the looks of a gorgeous bike.

I've found that firmer saddles (like the Corbin) are actually more comfortable on long rides than the softer saddles. I have the stock seat on the CB but had a Corbin on a cruiser I owned and loved it. Similarly, although my back and wrists would kill me on long rides on my ZX6R, that little, hard, pizza box top of a seat was actually quite comfortable (after the initial adjustment to it) over distance.

Well, for me, pretty is as pretty does. Russell seats have always been comfortable for me so for me when I'm on them, my butt thinks that they are PRETTY wonderful. Besides, if you are on the bike, you aren't looking at the seat. And others see you on the bike, not what you are sitting on. Anyway, I screwed up and bought a used Corbin since I had never tried them. For me it does not work. The pocket is too far back for me. So, as soon as I get pictures taken, it will be in the sales section.

I just got off the phone with a very nice lady from Laam saddles. Their prices have gone up recently from $280 to $340. That a massive 18% hike but it's still $50 less than a similar Russell. Laam has build slots as soon as three weeks where Russell is booked until mid-October...

I went with a Lamm saddle a couple years ago. Did not make the front part quite long enough (pushed back for my longer legs) and ditched the strap. Once he shipped the seat and found I had some issues he refused to answer the phone or my emails.

As is the seat is serviceable and good looking; just not 100% what I wanted and poor customer service.

So I'd recommend finding a local seat maker so if you have any problems they are available for making it right.
Another data point. I have a Russell Day Long on the Griso and that by far is the best seat I've ever had. I get all sorts of flack for it from fellow Griso owners as it looks terrible and ruins the fine lines of the bike. But once you sit on it and ride it that all goes away. Last year I rode up to north of ABQ New Mexico (about 600 miles) and my shoulders were tired from the wind but the bum was ready for another 400 miles.
