Ole's loss, my gain

Ole was nice enough to sell me his Chic fairing and fork brace. I really wanted to wait until it got a bit warmer to take off the Slipstreamer (and get the Chic Design fairing painted red) but hey, today was very nice so I tossed on the bikini fairing.

Fork brace went on too (the tube shields hit my larger horns so I had to "adjust" them to miss).

Looking good! Let us know what you think of the wind protection on the touring screen. I have the standard screen, which does a good job keeping the wind acceptable on your chest, but would maybe like just a little higher wind protection too.

It's pretty much just like my Givi A770 that I have on the Griso. The dirty air hits about shoulder height without excess noise. Wind is off the chest; good for day rides but for cold or very long rides/touring, I'd prefer the Slipstreamer.

Ole packed these up very well; was a pleasure to deal with. A real stand up fellow.

Rboe,

That seat.... it looks great. I went and stalked all of your post and it looks like you made mention of phoenix custom seats. Is this perchance one of those seats? It fits the bike lines decently and looks super comfortable. I would love to get some more information/pictures of it if you have the time sir.

Thanks

Looks good Rboe. Hey it looks like if you hit a good bump or panic squeeze the front brake you might have some contact issues with the horns and fork tube guards.

Looks good Rboe. I take it you are going to paint the screen. Or are you? On another topic, if I may, it looks like succulents and palms are all the go in Az.

Cheers.

Ferret, Rboe doesn't panic squeeze. He applies maximum braking in a confident and controlled manner. Smile.

I'm a pretty conservative rider and going by the dirt rings on the tubes, my forks compress more that that. I know there would be clearance problems. Unless there it just looks close in the pic.

You guys have good eyes. I did indeed suffer clearance problems but some twisting of the mounting arms fixed that.

The seat is a Lamm seat but I think I'll have my local guy tweak it. Seth proved to be too difficult to work with; especially being in Redding, that I gave up on him. Good product, poor customer service and so-so communication skills.

The plan is to paint it, but it looks good enough as is that the budget will say it will stay silver for a while more. I'll talk to my body man in a spell and find out just how bad it's going to be.

Storm moving in Sunday night, Monday morning, but we don't expect snow. I've seen snow a couple times at our place. It was pretty exciting! I love snow! I'll be in Minnesota next week to get a snow fix.
