Cycle Spot CB1100 Cafe - More like CB1100RR - Awesome Build

Hey guys I posted these pictures in two other posts recently, one having to do with clip on's and the other having to do with possibility of swing arm swaps but I figured this bike needed its own thread mainly in hopes that the shop/builders will reach out and share some knowledge on the build. I would really like to hear from them on this since this thing just looks like such a beast to ride, really want to almost mirror this with my '13 CB1100.

I like the looks of these hybrids but wonder at how any of them actually handle. Eye candy for sure. That swingarm angle looks very extreme, though. Roland Sands makes a lot of neat bikes of this ilk and he knows how to set up the geometry, being a former 250 racer. I really like that CB350 razor is doing, it's going to look awesome but I think it will take quite a bit of time to get the handling right after it's all together.

Yeah the Moriwaki is Awesome, but man to buy those wheels alone cost so much money... The com-star style wheels on our bikes are nice don't get me wrong but I wish Honda would have given us spoke wheels, Its not that much maintenance to take your wheel off and pop it on a trueing stand every other year and check to make sure the spokes tension is in spec. I think I like the fact that Cycle spot was able to get a fatter tire on the back of the CB1100 with the swing arm swap, even though I know some people of course like the slimmer tire I like the sport bike fork swaps and rear wheel swaps for a wider footprint. Would love to ride this bike in comparison to my untouched 13' and see which one feels more fun to lean in on when hitting some back roads, maybe this thing handles like crap who knows?? doubt it though lol...

That's a great looking bike, but it would take an engine swap to make it an RR.

I guess I'm from a different school. I really like the CB with the flip forks and swingarm but for about $3k you can find an older (05/06) GSXR 1k and have a great canyon bike. Just about any of the big four companies have built inexpensive great handling bikes that will go waaaayyyy faster than you will on the street. If you want to build a custom then by all means build one. Keep us posted.

I think it looks cool as well, but I'd be surprised if you could actually use the added suspension goodies. 17" front wheel and shorter USD front fork will likely decrease the useable lean angle before you start dragging hard parts. There's at least 1 gent on here that managed to drag his Yoshi pipes without any suspension mods...
