This link proves to me that the UK CB1100 Forum is practically dead.

Someone is selling a Pipemasters 4 into 4 Exhaust for only 500 Pounds ($722 US) and not a single comment after almost a month! Unbelievable!

Sad that the U.K. forum couldn't make it. It has really been dead for a couple of years with weeks between even a single post. We had several members leave our forum due to what they called" heavy handed moderation" and disagreement with how we liked to run things here, and take up residence over there because "over there" they were free to say whatever they wanted, using any language they wanted, posting crude pictures and jokes, talking politics and such. They found great joy in complaining about this forum, and particularly myself and Guth over on that forum. Apparently the grass isn't always greener. One of the defectors still checks in here nearly every day to lurk, and was in fact logged in about an hour and a half ago, but hasn't posted in a year and a half maybe. Another sold his bike and bought a Yamaha and hasn't logged in here in about a year, and a third had his CB up for sale last I'd heard, but had logged in here about 3 weeks ago, but never posted. It's a shame, they were all nice guys, and could have contributed a lot to our forum, but just didn't care to behave like everyone else.

It's their loss! There are daily complements here about how helpful and friendly everyone is on this forum. I have been on lots of special interest forums over the years and I'm sure everyone will agree with me that this is one of the best around!

I have been on multiple bike sights as I have owned multiple bikes of different brands like most of you. I have to say this is one of the most positive forums (for bikes at least) I have ever been on.

It's their loss. I have got great info from people on this forum. Have been able to share extra parts and buy some obsolete parts from fellow members. Thanks to Guth and The ferret for letting me join this forum.

That's pretty crazy.

I'm really happy with the overall demeanor of this forum and know that most others who are active here feel the same way. With that said I can understand how this forum might not be for everyone. Simply put, not everyone is looking for civil discourse from their online experience. For some of us who tend to be a bit more sarcastic or gritty, it can be a challenge remain forum-appropriate all of the time. The reality is that I moderate myself more than anyone else on the forum, lol. I just tend to do so before I actually post something. I really don't know that the declining activity over on the UK forum is evidence of the flip side of all of this as I'm not really familiar with what goes on over there.

Ive been on several forums and i will curb my enthusiasm to the likes of the group. I have no problem playing nice and following the rules. Ive been on the HD forum which has a section called girls with tatoos, you can only imagine what thats like. I personally enjoyed it but some may find it offensive, lol. I feel if you want to be productive and get positive feedback then play nice. Nothing wrong with rules in my book.
