Maybe if I tilt it forward a bit they will hit higher up. As it is now after a couple hours you have to stop to clean the bugs off or your vision is very limited. I'd love to be able to find a replacement windscreen for it with a lip on the top.

It's not really a flaw in the design. The smaller sport fairings are designed to keep your helmet in clean air, while deflecting the wind blast from your torso.

If you adjust it a bit higher, you might end up with the turbulent air flow hitting your face shield, which usually results in noise and buffeting. If you want something that'll deflect the air over the top of the helmet, I think you'll need a much taller windshield/fairing.

After seeing and fiddling with my Emgo next to EarsOnWheels' Road Comet, I have to say that the Road Comet is a much better product. Much sturdier construction and just a cleaner manufacture. But for the money and the fact that it's already installed, I'm okay with this. But I will still lust after the Comet!
As to the wind deflection, I am happy with it. For winter I have a Street Shield that is great for protecting my whole self, but for summer heat, having some air flow is a good thing. And once I got used to a bit wind pressure against my helmet and forearms, I like not having my head bounced around. Less wind noise, too. YRMV.

I wish I had read this this morning. I took the fairing off trying to raise the angle of the wind screen. To accomplish this I had to remove the bracket off the bottom. I guess I raised it a inch or two.

It didn't stop the bugs from hitting right on the face shield. So it was a complete failure. It really doesn't bother me. I just thought the fairing was directing all the bugs to a certain height. I was wrong. I tried it with and without the fairing, practically no difference in the amount of bugs hitting the face shield.

I did find out however the bracket on the bottom isn't really necessary.

Bought and installed. I used 1/4" longer than stock bolts and it worked fine. Simply sandwiched an inside and outside washer with rubber gromet, on each side. Very pleased with my ride. I did trim on each side for turn signals, but left them rubbing on the soft rubber parts for more stability. No hiccups. Thanks for recommending!

Got mine mounted, used stock headlight bolts, trimmed for signals and horns.
I put a rubber grommet between shield and instruments.

Kenny, thank you for posting pics. I haven't taken to cutting on mine yet, but I will soon. How much did you cut at the bottom for the horns?
