Four inches sounds like a pretty big gap for the PS2. On my '13, I have it sitting right on top of the headlight trim ring. The lower edges sit right behind the point at the back of each front turn signal.

Thanks for your post. I am in the middle of mounting my shield like you say and it will fit. Just got to figure out how to attach the lower mounts to the forks without them hitting the gas tank when I turn and I'll be good to go.

Here's where I've positioned my lower mounts. It leaves about 1.5 inches of clearance at full lock.

Thanks for the pic. I repositioned my lower brackets like those in the pic. It was an easy fix. I can lower the shield about another 1/2" to eliminate the gap I now have with the bottom of the shield and top of the headlight, but first I want to road test what I have and see if there is much air coming beneath the shield. If not, I can retire my tools.
