I sanded the damaged section and repainted it black, looks like new Dodgy

Anyone ever installed a highway foot peg on their SWMotech engine guard?

I installed the SWMotech bars (black) within a week of possession and never regretted it.

I put a $20 pair of hiway pegs on mine for a 3 week trip and they helped considerably for stretching the legs--didn't use them a lot time wise, but just the fact that I could change the leg position for 10 mintues here and there was helpful.

Would you mind telling us what Make/Model and where did you purchase them "Highway Pegs"?
Thanks

Huh? Huh You don't have highway pegs yet Alain? (What did we talk about in the spring? Sad )

Anyway, I think you should execute on them, especially if we ever get to the 2021 Rally - which looks not assured from today's vaccine deployment point of view.

I can see the border guard saying, "Proof of vaccination please."

Still working on the pegs Wink

Hey GO, I did the 12 hours stink from WV to Toronto (2019 Rally) without the highway pegs and survived.
That's correct, I am getting ready for the 2021 Rally in Ohio next year that's why I needed the part number. Wink)

It was about 4-5 years ago and so I don't remember. But they were in stock at a local mc shop, I don't even think they were on sale...something like this:

[url=https://www.wish.com/product/5c34ac2e95d0235279609130?hide_login_modal=true&from_ad=goog_shopping&_display_country_code=US&_force_currency_code=USD&pid=googleadwords_int&c=%7BcampaignId%7D&ad_cid=5c34ac2e95d0235279609130&ad_cc=US&ad_curr=USD&ad_price=22.74&campaign_id=7203534630&gclid=CjwKCAiAlNf-BRB_EiwA2osbxav8cPnJ-rD7PxNbS4TuvZxhpfwctkkyp74oybbN3ywDdTVigPLB8hoCcn8QAvD_BwE&share=web]Pegs

I wasn't worried about quality or looks because I knew I was only using them for the long trips.

I had a set of highway pegs I put on my motech crash bars a couple years ago.

I very rarely ever used them, but I have also not taken the bike on any long rides or trips.

I did put my feet on them every once in a while just to try them out, and although yes there was a feeling of relief in my knees, the riding position seemed unnatural even when going down a straight road.

One day I was looking at the bike, and thought to myself if I ever did crash that they would just wrap back around and could smash into the engine cases which is what the guards were supposed to protect in the first place so I removed them.

Thankfully that was shortly before I actually had my accident.

I have the sw motech crash bars, they are well built and sturdy. Attached some highway pegs to them. What a difference they make on long rides.

Hey Alain - ya, I remember you did that. Pretty amazing, with your spouse onboard too, I believe. I would have never been able to do that on the CB1100 even with highway pegs. I probably would have dissolved away after hour eight.

Yes, I did the ride 2 up with a top box, a tank bag and 2 saddle bags. The CB was loaded to the max !!! Biker
On top of it I was putting the tubeless tire conversion to the endurance test - I guess I trusted the modification 100%.
It was really fun though - me & my better half used the intercom to keep each other company and the battery lasted nearly the whole trip.

The trip each way was exactly 12 hours.

Only drawback was the light rain we encounter during the 1st hour of riding. (both ways)

Can't wait for the Ohio rally.

Yes, I used the "Outex" conversion kit which I bought through Samurider (supporting our official sponsor).
It is worth It - Got rid of both inner tubes.
Now any flat can be immediately plugged - (I always carry the plug repair kit including the air pump)during rides.

Will soon write a brief on the "Tubeless Conversion" and post it.
