Don't like the beak. Same with BMWs.
Overall the new Guzzi has too much of a playmobile for kids with its too many different colours, strange frame and other visible details. Besides, too expensive as the new Kawa W800 is.

But I'm not an enduro fan. Maybe a more street orientated bike with this new engine will be more attractive. Nobody knows how reliabe this engine will be. I will not find it out being biased with my Guzzi experience....

driving and seating comfort no discussion.....but my legs are to short so that i would feel save, lowering ?..of course not ! bcos so i would lost this extra drive/suspension-comfort of a enduro/ADV-Bike..

and I have become used to the platypus look for years now (BMW)

As much as I like Moto Guzzi, big air-chilled thumpers, and shhhh-a-a-f-t drive, I am not sure if "The Goose" does much for me. Nevertheless, I do like reading about Guzzis.

I love a lot of bikes...but if you asked me if I would give up my CB for any other lately built, my answer consists of two letters **

The V85TT is in a vastly different class then the CB though, it’s a long distance, all roads tourer. There’s a reason I have a nice standard AND an ADV bike in my garage; I certainly wouldn’t be doing the 8hrs of MABDR I did on my Tenere yesterday on the CB. When I tire of the stalwart workhorse the SuperTen is, the V85 will be on the list (along with the Africa Twin again - hopefully with factory cruise by then).

I absolutely love the characteristics of the Guzzi engines, I’ll be extremely interested to see owner reviews of the V85 once it starts getting into people’s hands. Those Italian Vtwins really like to rev, making rowing through the gears an absolute delight.

One massive + of the V7 I bought before the CB is that the air cooled twin somehow puts out nearly 0 engine heat, helping keep things comfortable in the hot & humid climate I ride in come summer. Wondering how the V85 will be in comparison.

My cb1100 was my first bike. I've loved every mile on it. But it's not ideal for touring and camping. I'm thinking of trading it for a v85 this summer. Shaft drive, modern electronics, massive integrated cargo - and the riding reviews sound really similar to the ones I read about the cb1100.

I really like Moto Guzzi. I would park a Daytona in my living room. That said, I would go BMW for at least some hope of dealer support.

I don't think there's any comparison for cost of ownership. The BMW 850 adv bike starts at 19k, and I can do all my own service on a guzzi. The dealer network is only a problem for warranty service and parts, and honestly that's the only thing that gives me pause about the bike.
