I share your pain, Ferret.
Down here, because we drive on the left-hand side of the road, the control stalk for car indicators is usually located on the right hand side of the steering wheel. Many European cars, which have been converted from left-hand drive, have their indicators on the left-hand side and they don't get converted. So many times, when I've changed vehicles, I find myself turning on the windscreen wipers to tell people which way I'm going to turn or indicating to wipe the windscreen.
Grrrr.

That's odd. All the Jap cars we get are the right way round. Maybe it's because we make our own Toyotas and Nissans in England?

The Japanese cars are fine—they drive on the correct side of the road too—it's the ones they bring in from Europe that are back to front.
