Here is a link to a picture of it: http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2618
It is located on top of the frame under the tank. You have to either lift the tank carefully (Ridem said you can get to it this way I believe) or remove it. There are some pics here with it installed that show you this, but I have searched for 30 mins and cannot find them.

Once the tank is removed its right there in the middle toward the back. Be careful when taking it out the support bracket is very weak. The left side cover removal is to disconnect the fuel pump harness. If you don't have a shop manual PM me. This is what your looking for:: [url=http://s1034.photobucket.com/user/cipolla57/media/photo_zps9627c979.jpg.html]

Pardon the dumb questions, but
Are the flashes customized or do they have a set profile for CB1100's? Beside removing the top speed limit, what are the other benefits? If the exhaust has been modified, is that taken into account? How much does Guhl Motors charge?

Ridem had a pretty extensive thread on this somewhere. But he will jump in and can answer all this.

I had the stock PC5 map flashed into mine and I'm running a full Yoshi and it runs great with no flat spots. Ridem32 had his flashed with just the restrictions removed. The cost is 375.00

I understand their reasoning for keeping things mellow and emphasizing excellent torque that starts at the low end. Don says an ECU reflash will unleash the inherent power in the engine. What exactly did Honda do to tame the beast (besides the speed limiter)? Did they retard or delay timing in just the lower gears? Didn't they want to emulate some of the engine vibrations of the old CB750s to give it some "character"? How did they do that? Timing?

Hey CB, I don't think this bike will ever see 100HP at the rear wheel, the cam profile won't allow that kind of power. There is power to be found in the ignition timing and a\f ratio but there is not much on top do to the cam. I believe the cam is also where the added a roughness to the engine as you mentioned. I questioned Don about the lower gear restriction and why it did not improve 100% throttle input. He said it more in the 20-40% range, however the Yoshi full exhaust did open the bike up to some larger gains.
