You may be better off having never been infected by whatever I caught at an early age.
Grew up on 1970's into early 80's 2-stoke dirtbikes. At that time the only real source of info was magazines- which wrote articles about stuff like DG or FMF pipes, rejetting carbs, suspension stuff... so I fell into the rabbit hole of 'I can make it better'...
Once you realize just about anything can be made better- at least me for, I like to do so.
I'll admit though- most of it was for the fun of doing it, and a tremendous waste of money in reflection.
I play with the bike for fun. I like doing things nobody else has done.

Back in the garage,
After measuring the clearances several times again on the new cams last night– I just uninstalled them and the buckets and now I get to do more math.
Gee whiz thanks, fun.
Really hoping for good results. Anyone want to take a guess? Start a pool?

My guess is that you'll gain about 8 hp, but it will run hot, so you'll use a Power Commander to develop a custom map to tweak the fueling, gain another 2 hp, and gain crisp throttle response with zero hesitation. Then everyone reading this thread will want to do it, and you'll have an opportunity to gain fame and maybe a little cash

No cash for me. I have no association with the cam company, no skin in the game.
As for hot- well I will be fueling 'correctly' with no concerns to meet gov regulations so cool with fuel.
Also, the dynamic compression ratio will be less now- so less heat there.
I can only dream for 8+2, especially since I am not changing the factory ign timing or redline (for now).
I have my own # in my head I want to hit, but I'll stay quiet for now and let others play.
I promise I'll break 100whp as long as it doesn't mechanically grenade. Pretty easy since that would be less than a 2whp gain.

Well- just sat down and did the math. Another delay as I will be ordering more shims.

Just ordered 9 shims from Honda online as I needed higher resolution than what the Hotcam kit can provide.
..so we wait again.
Hope my measuring is good- or we may wait again again on more shims even after this. I'd buy a bunch of izes to be safe- but they are not cheap, which is why I originally bought the hotcam kit trying to avoid all this- not knowing it does .05mm steps instead of .025 like Honda does.

Question for the hp junkies. After you spend thousands of dollars and countless hours of your time in the garage to increase the power of a stocker, where will you go to race your bike? The local drag strip?

As luck would have it- I have a drag strip about 15 minutes from my house.
But- even though I have raced there countless times over decades, I have never taken a bike. It has always been cars.
I'd have to have Guhl flash the ECU first as the bike even stock will hit the speed limiter before the 1/4 is up (1320feet).
More power can be used for more than just 'racing'. As my bike sits now before cams I am over 98whp and 71wtq with no loss anywhere in the rpm. My friends joke that my front wheel is always in the air.
And then my friend on a modern sportbike passes me effortlessly at 12 o'clock.
This is all just for fun and to see what I can get out of it.
He did mention he is thinking of selling his sportier bike so he can buy 'a bike like mine'.
Total package is a good thing to work towards.
