That’s the skinny end of lobes on the intake (left hand cam).
Hope it works. It should have no middle ground- either awesome or carnage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

(if it goes south give them a try). if it was them, thats unusual. I have not heard of anyone trying that on this bike, but I know people that have done it on some cars. Visually comparing both cams sitting next to each other, to me it looks like this would work on this engine as well. Would probably be a cheap easy way for someone to both get more power/tq and also get straight cam timing instead of the factory stagger that many seem to want.

Powerdubs, keep that cam shop a secret. I see a business opportunity for you if all this works

Just found this excellent thread. Great work PowerDubs!
My personal preference for custom grind, would be to smooth out the vibration and add more midrange torque. Then tune out the low rpm throttle twitch and adjust for 12.5-13 afr. Factory airbox and header because I want it quiet. For anything else, it's cheaper to just buy another motorcycle.

Yesterday, heading back to the Honda dealer to order a tire, knowing that the rear would be replaced in a week or two, I feathered the clutch instead of giving it full throttle after full engagement. The rear has 10,400 miles on it, but it is still fully legal. At about 30-40 MPH (was not watching speedo) it lost full traction and mildly fishtailed. Once I see what I can get out of the bike, most likely I will also put a airbox snorkel back on and the stock header. I will need to switch the O2 bung on the stock car to fit the WBO2 sensor.
