Today I changed the front tires on my 2013 and 2014. They both had a Michelin PR 3 110/80 and I went to the PR 4 in 120/70.
One tire had 6840 miles on it and could have made another 500 , the other had 7265 miles on it . 7000 miles on a front tire is ok with me. My 2017 had 7030 miles on the OEM before I changed both at the same time with the Dunlop OEM. As I said before , I change tires when they are worn down , not when worn out.

Well since Gurgus Bee has reported no issues with Bias Ply and the Sport Demon is highly recommended I may have to check out Bias Ply construction as an option. I really prefer to stick to manufacturers suggestions for the most part since I don't understand all of the engineering and science myself, but Sport Demon looks like a tire I'd like to try.
So far my second set of Metzlers are performing far better than the first. I think largely because I didn't do a any track days on them.

As a general rule, bias and radial cannot not be mounted on the same axle, trike/Can-Am/Niken, due to different: handling/traction/dynamics - sidewall deflection.
If radial tire is mixed with non-radial anywhere on an automobile, will fail safety inspection, according to the MTO/DOT. ************** For street bikes: Few bikes come with bias and radial from the factory. Mix and match brands, check tire and/or motorcycle manufacture's recommendations. Most will say do not mix as these are tested/developed in pairs, not individually, and may affect handling/traction . What people do with their machines and express their happiness after, is a totally different story, regardless any rules/recommendations. Presently, I have Dunlop110/front and Michelin160 /rear - for the first time ever on any of my motorcycles, but when the front is gone will go back to pairs/Michelin. Off road bikes, different story, not my interest.

I can't run a 160 because I've ribbed a few too many buddies for having chicken strips. Lol.
