The date of issue in mine is 'November 2012' - the back cover on mine has a copyright date of 2020.
Wanted to make sure this is the latest version.

It depends if it was dyno oil or synthetic oil.....

Count me amongst the fans of the Common Service Manual. It provides such a great wealth of information — highly recommended. The knowledge to dollar ratio provided by this book is very high indeed. To be fair, I tend to love Honda's service manuals in general as every one of them that I've encountered personally has been incredibly easy to use (especially when compared to the service manuals provided by a number of other manufacturers). This is due in part to the consistently wonderful layout of information, that is incredibly well written, and there is always plenty of information provided. The service manual for my S2000 alone came in two volumes with a combined thickness that is more than double that of the Common Service Manual.
You find the nicest service manuals with a Honda, lol.

I agree with Guth and others regarding the quality of Honda's publications, particularly the Common Services Manual and the CB1100's Service Manual - superb.
However, back in about 1972 or 1973, I bought Honda's workshop manual for the CB750 K2, and it contained the gem "...the side cover is change of shape and design sporty-looking"!! I loved that! There were many other howlers in it too! :

In the mid-'70s I had a Honda CB92 125 Super Sport. The early owner's manual had pages in the back showing how to ride scrambles, trials, road racing and top speed. This advice is no longer given freely by Honda.
