Emullick, the ZX 9R was considered by many to be the best, most comfortable, most streetable "liter bike" when it arrived on our shores. I never had the opportunity to ride one but always held it in high regard. Former Duc and Guzzi owner here, too.

I70 to Denver to see daughter #2 and her daughter, then down to Colorado Springs to see grandson, his wife and daughter before the Army moves them to Georgia. Probably go home via Albuquerque.

Again, weather permitting, should make it to Parachute or thereabouts by that evening. Last time we went by the Evergreen turnoff it was 0 dark thirty, heading west, expecting a storm to hit, last April.

2 more weeks until blood work, so I am being good on my diet...most of the time. Had 6 grandkids with me yesterday, the 31st and went by a Baskin & Robbins...under $12 for 7 cones.

Thanks to meaningful, long term feedback to members like S.Doc, I feel pretty lucky not committing to the incredibly good lookin' Griso. I did end up with the CB, but it could have easily been the Gris.

Hmm.. If the CB1100 didn't exist, I would probably buy an FZ or MT09. I was seriously shopping for one of these to replace my ailing R1200R last year. But, every example I found in my price range was ragged out. I was getting frustrated when I saw a red and silver NC-700X. That reminded me that the CB1100 was launched in red and silver, and I searched listings just for kicks. A few days later, I found my bike!

I would still ride my 1994 and 1995 CB 1000 , great bikes !!!

I’d have an in-line 4 of some Japanese vintage to go along with my three other non-inline bikes.

There just isn't another big I4 out there like our bike in the US, not that you can buy brand new. I'd have to take a Triumph Speed Twin good grief that thing is sweet.

I would probably still be happily putt-putting around on my KLR. But I was wooed by the seductive retro looks of the CB.
