Beautiful! I really like having the versatility of keeping or not the DB killer (silencer). For zipping through town and make girls get their eyes off their Iphone screens: silencer out. To go on my long, peaceful Sunday morning rides: stealth mode engaged.

I don't know how to describe the change but in actor voices comparison. With the factory muffler the bike had the voice of Ben Affleck; average, not bad but unremarkable. With the suppressed Arrow it sounds like Sean Connery, deep and classy. With the silencer off it turns into James Earl Jones: it speaks, you listen.

I followed Nemo for a ways during one of the Bland rally rides and did not have any complaints about excessive noise.

As, I am not in need of a new muffler yet (BTW, how many miles/years before typical replacement), am I missing something from the specs?

From the company's spec graph, at typical highway cruising rpms (depending on year and sprocket mods - lol) 3-4K no net gain unless above 3850. At full throttle, only 3.5hp. AND those gains are only possible if DB killer is removed. Couldn't you get the same with the stock if you remeoved the "db killer" equivalent?

LOL, life begins above 3850! Nice fat "rideability" gain though from there to around 5500. Can't figure why the graph looks like a squiggle at the top...whoops, yep, that is the speed limiter kicking in. True gain is much higher, no?

You do the ECU reflash, PCV, or what?

Once you remove the tack welded tab that locks the snap ring all you need is either snap ring pliers or needle nose that will work, remove the snap ring, pull the silencer off. May require a little convincing but not impossible.

I haven't put it back in. I like the sound too much.

I did not believe the power wheelie bit... until now. but you don't really need a new pipe... apparently the torque of the CB is soooo close to power wheelie (and I don't mean the gas off / gas on bounce thing either. just gas on) that it only takes a little nudge. I drilled the last baffle like several others have, for the tone. it sounds good. then i looked at the air filter cover to see how the tsr thing must work, and ended up leaving off the quarter size plug thing, and while trying to hear it suck air through that new opening... up came the front wheel! Wow! So you don't have to spend a dime if you don't want to, to unleash the beast, so to speak.

Hey all I'm looking at pulling the trigger on one of these. They look and sound amazing to me. Two questions:

1. Okay to install on an engine with not alot of miles? I'm assuming yes but got a bit curious seeing someone else ask but not get an answer.

2. Any reflash / tune / etc. needed once installed? I'm hoping no
