The yellow and 'ton-up' versions of the CB are welcomed, if not loved. Hope Honda keeps it going.

Guys, the bike never went anywhere. Honda still produces them for, at least, their home market. So it's not "returning."

Also, just because they have a concept bike out, doesn't mean they have a real bike in mind.

Lastly, even if they do produce the bike as seen in these photos, or some other incarnation for a new gen, doesn't mean American Honda will import it.

Sorry be to the wet blanket, but I'm also the dude that said there weren't gonna be any '15s in the USA back in November of last year, and ended up being right.

That being said, I kinda like the yellow tank. The two-tone engine and the square mirrors are ugly, IMO. Looks like the side cover is back to '10-'13 version.

I'd suggest the Bonneville is the best selling Triumph due to price. Kawasaki's #1 seller for decades was the Ninja 250, and Moto Guzzi's #1 continues to be the V7. Harley's best seller has traditionally been the 883 Sportster (not sure if this still the case). All of these bikes share one thing in common: they're the least expensive bike in the line-up.

You never really know what they're going to do. Honda has been known to skip a year or two on low volume models then return 'em to the U.S. market. My CB750 was available from '91-'93, then disappeared in '94. It ended up returning in '95 for another 9 years of low volume sales.

I really like the low bars and wire wheels of the yellow one, but otherwise I prefer the more classical look of the DLX. Still, I hope we see these beauties in the dealerships soon!

The design of the seat cover on the yellow bike is interesting. It looks like another bike was parked on top of it and then peeled out.

The black one looks like the changes are 100% aftermarket...Moriwaki full dual exhaust, K&H cafe seat, Hakofugu rear fender, Nitron piggyback shocks, Halycon bar end mirrors. You could just build that bike out of a '14 standard for ~$2.5k

The yellow one appears to be wearing the same stock Dunlops as the mags come with, so perhaps they're tubeless wire wheels ($$$Wink. The tank is interesting, adds a little lateral bulk; I'd probably like it more if I wasn't so accustomed to the slightly squared and svelte '10-14 Standard Wink

If they had put the signals (blinkers) on stalks on the side of the rear light, it would make using saddle bags so much easier.

I really like the yellow concept CB but am not quite sold on the black "cafe" model. Of course, I wouldn't kick it out of bed. I'm hoping to make it to the Progressive International Motorcycle Show next month. I'll keep my eye out for either one!

The seat on the yellow one looks like it has some sort of cloth/swede insert. Here in LA (Lower Alabama), that would be nice to help with the heat.
