This forum's members probably bought out the remaining stock of OptiGlanz. Currently unavailable on amazon.com and some of the other US websites referenced in this and a related thread. Must be good stuff.

Maybe the label on the Optiglanz bottle (which is 100% in German, for those who haven't seen it) says "This is a bottle of vinegar, American pig. Thanks for the money!"

I have used barkeepers friend for years on ss sinks. I have read the whole label and it says nothing about neutralizing with vinegar.

I don't see how one acid can be used to "neutralize" another acid. The main component of vinegar is acetic acid.

I don't see how one acid can be used to "neutralize" another acid. The main component of vinegar is acetic acid.

You need a base solution to neutralize an acid, such as a weak ammonia solution (a "base") as I posted earlier. Simple ammonia cleaner or even Windex might work.
