Thanks Fuzzy! I still have lots more plans for this bike, but this tank really tied it together Smile

Silas, how hard was it to change the tanks out?

Beautiful as I expected!

(The cowl looks a little out of place to me now though.)

not hard at all! I used the technicians manual and unplugged the breather tube, then the fuel pump from the side cover and the fuel line from the bottom. Stupid me, had just filled my tank the day before so i had to empty all the gas into a bucket. Installing the fuel pump was easy and the tank slid on like a glove!

No, the cowl fits real nice now. It was pleasant enough with the red tank before but visually the whole bike works better with the aluminum tank. May want to add a rear boattail cowl for the seat and tail light. Smile

Just my personal opinion. I think it would look pretty mean w/o the cowl or maybe black cowl. I think it looks great over all though. Definitely my fav cb1100 I've seen.

Silas,

Have you checked out Samurider's facebook page recently?

https://www.facebook.com/samurider.fanpa...ion=stream

You and Ack might recognize a couple of CB's on Takashi's page.

He mentioned he'll be riding a CB1100 for the first time soon. Hope word gets back to us on how he likes it.

I didn't think too much of this when you started but now that I see it as it is currently I think it's SUPER. You obviously have a good eye and a goal. I like the original but you have very tastefully transformed the bike. I like the brown seat. Planning to get one in black for my bike which I plan to make only modest changes too.
