Wife's first crash
#21
Hey Adam! Sorry to hear about your wife’s incident but more glad to hear that she wasn’t seriously hurt.
There are those that have wrecked and those that will. Having had a mishap myself, it will definitely keep you honest and within your riding skills.

There are few clubs to which one does not ever want to welcome new members. The I-Dropped-My-Bike Club is one of them, particularly as new members so often limp through the door dribbling blood on the parquetry. It’s a very personal view, but I think the BAMF is another such club, particularly given the incestuous nature of the MF component.

Be that as it may, welcome to the club Ms P. We’re sorry you’ve joined us, but we can have a good laugh now you’re here. I hope you recover from your injuries fast and are soon back on the bike.

Best wishes.

Hi Adam, I’m glad she wasn’t hurt too badly. Where I live it’s hot most of the time, but I use BOHN cool-air mesh armored riding pants with mesh pants over them. Great protection and plenty of air flow.

I've always wondered about that Bohn stuff, but never knew of anyone that actually tried it.

I don't disagree with anything you're saying but the nature of the event always requires one adopt just a little bit of a viking mentality. You don't want to join the club, but you can't help but celebrate being in it.

That'ts good advice. she is going to be looking for alternative pants.

i do wonder just how bad it gets in CA though? i always thought that the weather there was forever "just right."
