Yeah. I did this in an underground parking lot making a tight turn.
Usually this bike's brakes are pretty easy to control, but on the polished concrete it just locked up and began to fall over. Thankfully I managed to get a leg down quick and catch it.

Just about everyone has been there, some come out better than others (really messy when you pull a back muscle). The trick is to live and learn. Ain't that always the way.

In the UK abs is compulsory on all new bikes from this year. I wasn't sure about this at first but now I'm in favour for two reasons. Firstly, the rider is not put in the position of having to choose whether or not to opt for the expensive abs option. Secondly, manufacturers have largely absorbed the price of the abs so we are now effectively getting it for free. I've had two situations this year when I've applied the front brake on what turned out to be a dirty road surface and felt the abs activate.

Because of the CB1100's too-strong, grabby front brakes, I wish I had ABS...

ABS only works at speeds above 6 mph, so it won't activate in a slow speed parking lot or driveway turn.

Ahhhh... My bad.

There is only so much a computer can do for you. I think familiarity is the key.
