Suspension Static Sag

A bit late perhaps but anyway.

My weight 85 kg with gear, bike CB1100RS

Starting point (factory settings):
Front preload: 2 lines showing
Front static sag: 52/107 mm
Rear preload: setting 2/5
Rear static sag: 39/114 mm

Ended up with:
Front preload: 1 line showing
Front static sag: 47/107 mm
Rear preload setting: 3/5
Rear static sag: 34/114 mm

Verdict: probably no real gain, but the placebo effect works wonders and I imagine it's a bit more eager to turn in. Plus it was a satisfying way to spend a rainy evening in the garage.

It just shows how low the spring rate is up front, there is you with a light enough weight and still nearly using 50% at the front. Still, it is easy to get this thing handling well with preload adjustment.
