j3qq, where the CB1100 is concerned, Honda clearly doesn't care about the U.S. market. They haven't offered the bike here since 2017, and there are no plans to offer it here again. They aren't going to go back now and revisit a minor-annoyance issue afflicting a one-year-only, low-volume-seller model like the CB1100.
Unless you are willing to fabricate your own solution, similar to Triumph's permanent fix, or, perhaps, replace the entire rotors/calipers assembly with something different, you're just going to have to live with it.
