Thanks to all of you who have responded. WildGuzzi is a great site. Maybe some day a Guzzi will be in my future. I am not adverse to having three motorcycles (3 is my limit!). For now my Suzuki and a CB ought to do it for me. Bad dealers certainly enter in to the equation. I learned this through the many years I rode BMW's. A friend of a friend recently bought the new Guzzi retro model 750 (V7?) so I will follow his experiences.
With the reliability of all of the Japan brands, European brands just don't have much of a draw on me any more. I can't find anything not to like about the CB1100. Except for the possibility of the Moto Guzzi, none of them come close to the Japanese bikes IMO.
