Ah, Mr. Ferret, you need to ride a Guzzi. With a few exceptions (people's butts that is) few find the stock Guzzi seat comfortable. The Quota was a torture device. The Griso not much better. I've heard the new 1400 is nice while sitting on it in the showroom floor quickly renders your bum useless after a short time.
For the Quota I had a seat made, for the Griso; if I keep her, I have a spare seat ready to be sacrificed to the butt gods. The Bonneville T100 felt very comfortable but no long rides were attemtped. The CB1100 also feels good for times under an hour. I hope to get a ride in tomorrow to stretch the times out a bit to see how it really feels.
