One thing I noticed about the 2014 US Standard was that it closely resembles a Japan-only version that was available in 2012 and 2013. It was called "Black Style" and featured the blacked out engine, wheels and sidecovers that the US 2014 model has.
When I first saw the pic of the '14 US Standard, my first thought was that they had recycled the Black Style concept for the US market.
