Assuming all pre 14th models are the same and the speed is picked up at the back hub.
Is the computer calculating the miles into kilometres or the kilometres into miles......
or is all nuts getting calculated into Miles and Kilometres.
and if I'm correct UK miles are different again.
Enzo, I think a mile is a mile is a mile (except when it's a nautical mile or a US Survey Mile). So the sensor's work has to be converted only into KPH or MPH.
Gallons, now, that's a different thing altogether.

Actually, writing this has made me look again at my fuel usage and feel better about it. Having grown up on Imperial measurement, I've never quite grasped metrics. So, I've worked out that the CB is averaging 55.64 Miles/imperial gallon which is not too bad. That's 46.33 miles/US Gallon or 19.58 kms/litre. HOwever, for some reason that I don't understand, Australia insists on measuring fuel usage as litres per 100 kms. The CB does an average of 5.12 of them.
To make it relevant: I suppose if I had a 6th gear I could improve that performance a bit.
