I reached out for help right here with my first post. What did I get? A bunch of enablers.

I made contact with Mr Jangles. Knew he'd be able to show me the error of my ways from his own recent experience and no doubt a heavy dose of buyer's remorse. What did I get? Just more reinforcement of my own crazed thinking.

Went and test rode the object of my desires. Knew that would settle it; nice retro look but nothing worth ditching my NEW HD for...

Um, it didn't quite turn out that way. In fact, the dealer thought I'd stolen it I was gone so long.

Came home and floated the balloon: "Sweetie, Love of my Life, I'm thinking of getting a different bike..."

"And getting rid of your NEW one?"

"Uh, huh."

"Are you out of your f*****g mind? You JUST BOUGHT IT!"

Well, actually, that isn't what she said. She simply asked me what I was getting and said,

"ok".

I pick up my new Deluxe Monday - if the sleep deprivation this weekend doesn't do me in.

I really did try. Honest.
