I reached out for help right here with my first post. What did I get? A bunch of enablers. Undecided

I made contact with Mr Jangles. Knew he'd be able to show me the error of my ways from his own recent experience and no doubt a heavy dose of buyer's remorse. What did I get? Just more reinforcement of my own crazed thinking. Sad

#%!&?! What to do??

Went and test rode the object of my desires. Knew that would settle it; nice retro look but nothing worth ditching my NEW HD for...

Um, it didn't quite turn out that way. In fact, the dealer thought I'd stolen it I was gone so long. Blush

Came home and floated the balloon: "Sweetie, Love of my Life, I'm thinking of getting a different bike..."

"And getting rid of your NEW one?"

"Uh, huh."

"Are you out of your f*****g mind? You JUST BOUGHT IT!"

Well, actually, that isn't what she said. She simply asked me what I was getting and said,

"ok".

I pick up my new Deluxe Monday - if the sleep deprivation this weekend doesn't do me in. ExcitedExcitedExcited

I really did try. Honest.
We believe you. Really.
Hey Tim, Your crackin me up. Ya know I did love my switchback, I put 10,000 miles on it since last aug, I just like NEW stuff to be perfect and it wasn't. I've had my CB for 2 weeks now and I have about 1100 miles on it, Ya know the more I ride it the more I love this freakin bike, it's like an old friend that won't let you down! It just purs along, It's about as perfect as a machine can get, and the brakes work, the front end don't clunk and it don't vibrate!

Hope you get some sleep, anyway you can always go to you tube and watch other people ride there CB's... that's what I did!
Pffftt!!
Resistance is futile. Wink

Wise move ShortTimer San!

Great minds think alike! Worship

I was on you tube into the wee hours doing just that. Great rides and great reviews of the CB. Even a thorough review of the Bonneville for those so inclined - it has been on my wish list for some time. And it reinforced all of the feedback from the members of this forum on another thread.

I've owned over a dozen bikes from metrics to Enfields, and two different Harleys. Even had a scooter in the mix. I'm really looking forward to getting back to my roots; Honda reliability, smooth operation, great looks, and piling up the miles without feeling like I'm in a wrestling match or endurance test.

Is it tomorrow yet?Rolleyes
Been There, Done That..............No Regrets. I only owned my sportster for 6 months when I caught a glimpse of my new bike. I just went into the dealer to pick up a new visor for my helmet. and even though I was going to have to roll some negative equity into the new bike, somthing I normally would not do. there was no way I was leaving the dealer without it. the quality of this bike is excellent and it is a complete joy to ride.............welcome to the fold my friend and enjoy the ride
I've owned (own) many a motorcycle but from the first moment I lay eyes on the CB1100 I knew I MUST own one. Still waiting impatiently for delivery of my 2014 CB1100 Deluxe... TINK
Hey Short timer - where in Chicagoland are you? I'm in Saint Charles.

Nice to have another Flatlander joining the fellowship!
Hey, you tried. The effort counts for something. Big Grin
