Hello Owners -Any reports of engine hesitation?

Hello All:

I am a long time Honda Rider and current owner of a 2012 GL1800. I've previously owned a 2000 VFR800, 2004 ST1300, 2008 GL1800, 20120 VFR1200. All of my past rides were silky smooth fuel injection with never a misfire, stumble, or hesitation of any kind. I can not say the same for my 2012 GL1800. It has been plagued with a cold engine hesitation, that I can't fix, and Honda won't acknowledge. been to the dealership 4 times for this. Honda claims it runs as expected. many newer wings have this issue.

What I'm curious about is if other newer Honda Models have this problem with Fuel Delivery, smoothness, etc.

I considering trading my wing for a CB1100, as I don't tour all that much anyway.

Does anyone have drivability or smoothness issues?

My 2014 CB1100 does not run perfectly at small throttle openings and light loads below 3,000 RPM; there is a slight mis-firing that can be heard if you listen carefully. AS soon as the engine exceed 3,000 RPM it starts to run very good. I returned it to the dealer four times, and they claim my bike runs fine. I had an independent mechanic perform a vacuum check on it (I posted a photograph of the electronic vacuum gauge reading on this forum a few months back) and the throttle bodies are not synchronized. I presented this evidence to Honda and they have informed me that the throttle bodies on the CB1100 are set at the factory and they cannot be synchronized. Honda told me that my bike runs the way it does due to California emissions standards (a contributor to this forum stated that all U.S. bikes are manufactured to the same emission standards) and if I wanted my bike to run better I would have to seek help from the "aftermarket" (ie -a Power-commander, but they never specifically said this). I am convinced that if the throttle bodies on my bike were properly synchronized then it would run better. The Honda representative that I was speaking to on the phone didn't have much technical experience at all (I asked him), so instead of wasting my time continuing to talk to him I ended our conversation. I intend to do further research before I attempt to synchronize the throttle bodies on this bike. The official Honda service manual shows where they can be adjusted, they just warn you not to do it.
