Triumphs are good bikes and you would do well owning one. It just depends on what you want out of a bike and what turns your crank. Life is short, get both! 
I looked at the Triumphs (Bonnie) and luckily the first one I test rode was unimpressive. A couple years later I test rode a different Bonnie that an instructor had at the Motorcycle Safety School and was much more impressed.
While some models of Triumphs look mighty nice, the CB hits more hot buttons. I'm of the opinion that the Honda is built better but so far that is a purely subjective opinion. There are a lot of good bikes out there; get what makes you smile. Treat it well and most will last a lot longer than you care to keep them.
