Top boxes, for the most part, are ugly. Never owned one. But I'm considering one for road trips. Since I tend to use the Griso for road trips and use a water proof duffle in that location I probably never will get one.
Windscreens can be almost as ugly, but highly useful on trips (wind fatigue is nothing to poo-poo), keeping rain and large bugs off you as well as wind pressure. Those I do use.
I'd recommend an after market seat, not the deluxe saddle. You'll get something that fits YOUR bum and you will thank it afterwards. Russell Day Long seats are the Gold Standard. I have one on my Griso. Ugly as dog farts but I very rarely put the handsome stock seat on any more. In fact, even my friends have gottin' used to it as last weekend not one commented about it and it the past they wasted no time kidding me about it.
I have the Lamm seat on the CB. Good for about six hours but his customer service is poor and with many other good makers out there to choose from I'd push you towards a Sargent, Corbin (my bum is not fond of Corbins in general but a few have felt good - they tend to polarize folks - but they do look better than the Russell Day Long!) or others - maybe even a local guy to you. This is my third custom seat and I wish I had been aware of them back in the day.
