Yeah, that one always cracks me up. The most common one I see is "all it needs is a carb cleaning". For me, buying a non-running bike I don't go higher than salvage value. You have no idea what'll be wrong with it once you do get the carbs clean and the engine started. Given that this guy's ad states that over $10K has been invested in the bike, it looks like he's looking for a big payday on his non-runner. He's fishing for trusting souls (or those that don't know any better) on Ebay.
I'll never forget a friend of mine that bought a stunning looking KZ the "just needs a carb cleaning". The exterior of the bike looked near perfect. After several months of replacing dried out rubber bits and rebuilding carbs, he cranked it up to find oil leaking out of a crack in the case.
