Our CB Lives... I'm certain!

Apropos of nothing at all really, I don't normally like yellow much, but I think that yellow bike is lovely.

I have to agree about the blue, I've admired them for some time myself. I particularly like the Canadian version with the black side covers and Blue tank. I do like my red 2013, but dark blue is attractive indeed.

I was hoping you'd mention the desire, by some, for spoked wheels. Regardless, I'm cautiously optimistic, based on what you've learned, the CB will return to North America. I don't see myself trading in my 2014 Standard but hope that with continued production, there will be expanded aftermarket options. I'm sure our friend Takashi is hoping the same thing.

I have spoked wheels on my Guzzi. Esthetically pleasing yes, but I wouldn't give up the practical aspects of tubeless rims for looks alone. One flat in Nowhere's-ville will enlighten non-believers. Besides, I think the cast rims look fine.

I can't see myself trading in the current 13 Standard for ANY 2016 model CB regardless of the enhancements made. I'm VERY satisfied with the current version so much so that I won't even consider a 2014 DLX. Any changes to it that would compel me to buy the newer version would be so radical as to almost count as a new bike model ie...SHAFT DRIVE or belt drive/significantly enhanced secondary instrumentation/a 5 gallon tank to provide an extended range that we out here in the west need/full LED lighting/factory hard bags designed specifically for the bike as an option with integrated mounts and potential factory sport fairing to accompany them/numerous options which are now considered aftermarket farkles as standard options...USB port/pre-wired for battery tender/pre-wired for heated clothing ports...brazed on brackets to allow stock foot pegs to be moved around..maybe two options each for up/down and forward/back

I have my CB. Continued availability of the line in the marketplace only serves me in the aftermarket arena and since I have it set up mostly to my liking even that really isn't a priority.

Now..if Honda brought the CB1100R to market I'd be all over that in a heartbeat, but even it wouldn't result in the CB1100 being put up for sale since they bikes are so dissimilar and I have the space to continue to acquire a few more.

LOL, with the exception of shaftdrive, you almost perfectly described the Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT. Big Grin

Fully agree with you about not changing a thing, I too, am very happy with my 2013 just the way it came. Change it much and it's not the same bike.
