I have a different take (opinion) on that statement.
The difference to me was quite simple.
Oil tight. Electrics that worked. Reliability. No kick starting.
I've had plenty of earlier generation Harley's.
Functionality. Plain and simple.
That's the difference to me.
NOTHING about how one looks over the other one.
That's MY opinion, and I'm sticking to it!
