I have been charged over $30 Australian for a honda oil filter for my bike, so if you do the conversión getting charged $12 in the states is not that much to me, after all how many times do most people cange the oil and filter per year. Compared to registration and insurance is not much.

I like to support the local bike shop, I now buy the Honda oil, filter and gasket for about $40 delivered to my door.
