Just performed oil/filter change and Stabil in tank

The best-laid plans ..................... all three bikes have been prepped for their winter snooze. However, Accuweather has a beautiful forecast for this coming Tuesday here in NE Ohio. Plan on meeting up with my riding buddy on his 2016 T120. Feels like a CB day for me. Probably won't get in more than 125-150 miles total.

Oh, well, that shouldn't cause any issues, and I can always dump a little more Stabil in the tank before filling up with 93 octane (again!)

If the weather throws in a few more nice days in December, the 26+ year old R100GS is up to the task for the rest of the year.

Haha looks like im not the only nut with 3 bikes too lol. I kinda did the same. I always do a full detail, oil change, and full tank with seafoam before putting the bikes away. Ill then throw a cover on them with a battery tender hooked up and its goodnight til spring usually. This year though since the CB is new and i really wanna keep riding it i haven't put it away yet. Still decent here so im gonna rock it out until the snow flies.

Sunny and mild fall weather is always welcome.

You might be lucky. Here today and tomorrow are only 25F, but feel like 20F with 10 MPH winds. But the forecast for Tuesday is 48F. Unusually warm temperature for late November here. Unfortunately that is still below my 55F minimum riding temperature. So Miss Piggy will remain under her dust cover in the garage.

Extremely mild down here too for this time of year, but once the bikes are mothballed, they stay that way.
Not worth the effort to undo it all for a short ride - and then have to redo it again.

Here in NE Ohio, we're not normally frozen in for 5 or 6 months. Once we get through the month of January, there is often a heavy rainstorm that washes the salt off the roads, and often during the first couple weeks of February we'll have one or two 60 degree days. Time to ride!

Then typically back into the doldrums of winter.

But typically, my bikes see inactivity for no more than 2-3 months max, then some sporadic riding until spring arrives.

If the old Beemer is any example, my bikes respond ok to my treatment.

Plus, I'm getting too old to sit back and let a nice warm day go past without getting in some miles!

Yep, and always my favorite time of the year. Those are the days that you truly enjoy and tend not to take for granted. Unlike summer days that run on for months, by the time those mild fall days arrive Mother Nature has typically already sent some hints of the upcoming winter, making those nice fall days all the more special.

It seems that days like this are typically brought on by being ahead of the game and preparing your vehicles early for winter's rest, lol. Fortunately I do prefer having a true four seasons and plan to enjoy the winter time for what it is. Hoping to do some more cross country skiing this coming winter while the gas-powered toys slumber.
