Since my brother bought a new T120 and I have a CB1100 I can tell you a few things aout them. In use they are identical.. We turn the same rpm in the same gears 1-6 exactly. If I am 5 th turning 2800 rpms I can ask him what gear and what rpms he is running thru our intercoms and it is always the same. The CB is a little smoother than the 270 degree twin, but you have to be picky to notice it. His bike came with features ours didn't...mainly the heated grips and ride modes, although I think once you find one of the two modes that suits you, you just leave it in that mode. His bike sounds a little throatier than a CB but is not near as throaty as the Street Twin for some reason. We haven't busted one off, because we no longer ride like that, but I suspect the CB would be fractionally faster. These two bikes are very closely matched, much more so than the CB and the T100 which came before the T120. Imo the T120 is better than the T100 in every way, looks performance, braking ability, silkiness of transmission. I do think the T100 with the 360 motor was a tiny bit smoother, but again, not by much. Triumpg really did a superb job with the T120. THey will sell a bunch of them.
