Yep, helmet, spandex shorts, jersey, glasses and gloves. Just bought my winter gear from Gore, windproof bibtights, jacket, gloves and thermo overshoes. Man this gets expensive 
And yes, its dangerous riding, I have mirrors on both bikes and always viewing the rear. I ride and follow all the rules of driving. Bright colors, front and rear lights on both bikes.
