2017 Honda CB1100 EX MSRP

Honda has missed the price mark recently with a few bikes (VFRs).... Although the CB has quite a few intangibles that affect its market value more than other Honda models, I'm still wondering if price point wasn't a factor in low sales for the '13 & '14.

I think $11,999 is the magic number for the EX.

Agreed. Honda is such a powerhouse and it boggles the mind that they've missed on a few bikes over the past few years. The VFR1200 is beautifully engineered motorcycle art in motion and totally underrated. They're selling for cheap now.
Back to this posts original question, I think Honda seriously needs to examine their go to market price point strategy because if it's too high they risk having poor sales off the show room and the secondary market price will be driven lower. It can be perceieved as "not worth it" especially considering all the competition and alternatives consumers have. I hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as the VFR1200.

So true, and the bike was definitely over-priced from the get-go, especially the DCT variant. What a great sport-tourer the VFR1200F could have been...but the poor range doomed it in that role for most people and became the primary reason for the heavy discounting I think. 4.1 gallons @ 36 miles per (US) gallon = 147 miles to empty. Leaving 0.7 (US) gallon as reserve chops off 25 miles, so you'd need to start looking for gas every 122 miles or so. Not a big issue around town but on a road trip it's a no-go.
