I am, as I have been previously, grateful for the sound advice from The Ferret and others. No, Ferret, I am not too weak or too small - yet, though it feels I'm heading that way. I am not yet too old - still a callow youth of 55! Nor am I unbalanced - except after the odd beer. I'm just aware that with the V711 - quite a light bike - the ease with which I can manoeuvre it around, on and off the stand etc, contributes to my enjoyment of it and increases the likelihood that I will ride it.
Having said all that, I am somewhat reassured by feedback from forum members here - though reading some, I think my reservations are shared - and I will definitely look at this bike seriously when it hits the showroom. I'm not a man to test myself to the limit in the twisties; sedate is more my style.
The V711, by the way, is also a great bike - and due to be replaced in 2017 by the V7111 (54bhp I think).
Happy Christmas!
