HyperPro progressively wound springs - anyone?

I thought the fork sliders and tubes had to be separated to install the new damper rods. I have installed Ricor emulators on a T100 Triumph, but these didn't require any work to the damper rods. The Traxxion kit supplies new damper rods that have to be installed. Maybe I'm missing something. Can you provide more info? Thanks.
