I was just looking at the Aprilia Shiver 900 for my next bike - I'm getting out of the off road scene (selling my dirt bike and jeep in the spring) and that should open up some space for another street bike.
I may have to reconsider.

We don't have a dealer here but someone popped up on Kijiji this week outside of Halifax (I think probably not far from Rocky's) saying they are a new dealer for Aprilia.
I have to do a lot more research - both on the bike and this new dealer before committing to buying one. The review on Motorcycle Daily was really good.
But first - tomorrow I'm going to the Honda shop to inquire about the CB1100RS.
