Start up idle / procedure?

Start up idle / procedure?

I start mine and let it run for a minute or two while I pull on my helmet and gloves. Being air cooled I don't like to let it run too long without air moving across the cylinder fins. Usually the idle drops to about 1200 by the time I snick it in gear and take off and ride slowly thru the neighborhood (25 mph zone and lots of deer) and the idle is normal 1050 by the time I get to the first stop sign 7/10 of a mile up the road.
